How Do I Earn Points?

I've had a couple of people ask what types of contributions earn points and how much do they earn for different activities.
So to help provide more information, here's the list of what can be done on the site and the points you will earn for each activity.

| 1 | Create a Group | "Groups > Create Group" from menus | 30 |
| 2 | Write an Article | "Media > Create Article" from menus; you must contact us with interest in becoming a writer to publish articles on Freeople | 25 |
| 3 | Create a Donation Event | Click from the home page of your group | 14 |
| 4 | Create a Blog Entry | "Media > Create Blog Entry" from menus | 10 |
| 5 | Create a Calendar Event | Click from the home page of your group | 7 |
| 6 | Join a Group | From Google Map or "Groups > View Groups" from menus | 6 |
| 7 | Invite Others | Invite those who are not members of Freeople to join the site; will receive points when invitee has registered. | 5 |
| 8 | Create a Group Post | Click from the home page of your group | 5 |
| 9 | Create a Forum Topic |
"Forums > Forums Main Page" from menus. Click on "Post new forum topic" in the forum of your choice. |

Enter a comment on various forms of site content, including articles, blogs, forums, group posts, calendar events, etc. | 1 |

Contribute to candidates and group causes around the world. |

Do we get points for inviting someone?
Good point, probably should. It doesn't right at this moment, but it should not be difficult to add. I'm going to test it out in the next couple of days and let you know when it is live.
Per Jeremy's comment above, I have added functionality to receive points for inviting others. I have also updated the original post to reflect this change. Thanks for the suggestion!
