Fox kicked off their coverage of the Democratic National Convention this morning with Fox & Friends broadcasting live from a bar in Denver, Colorado. The majority of the time was spent flirtatiously interviewing Denver Broncos cheerleaders, followed by local Denver Hooters restaurant waitresses, followed again by more cheerleaders:
They joked about security having to "pat down" the cheerleaders, and Steve Doocy's son Peter (why is he on this show?) reported on Facebook and Twitter and joked that Brian Kilmeade "just twittered the cheerleaders!"
For a network which constantly preaches "family values", I'd like to know where within family values this type of adolescent behavior fits. Also makes me wonder why the networks and cable operators make such a big deal about keeping more risque material to later at night. The reality is viewers only need to turn on their televisions at 6 am and watch Fox & Friends.
Ah the hypocrisy of Fox. At the end of the day all that matters is the almighty dollar. I'm not sure how they can even be considered a real news outlet; this is more entertainment than news.
